Five Questions Friday - 8

1. Do you know how to play a musical instrument?

I learned to play the piano and I can read music.  I was never a natural and my playing occurs only when I am on my own!

2. What is your pet peeve while driving?

Dare I say it!  Mercedes drivers!  There it is I have said it.  Perfectly nice people, get behind the wheel of their Mercedes and have a personality transplant.  That is why I really do not want my husband to buy a Mercedes at any cost...

3. Would you rather have a housekeeper or unlimited spa services?

Housekeeper every time!  Could not care less about the spa, I hate massages, facials, people all over me, no thank you very much.  But I love a clean tidy house, freshly ironed clothes, and luxury of luxury: ironed sheets.

4. Is there a song that you hear that will take you back to the moment, like a junior high or high school dance?

I was a teenager when the disco era was at its most successful.   In nightclubs disco music was the thing to play.  I entered disco competitions.  Yes, I am a pure disco girl.  Put on Disco Inferno and I am 16 all over again.  The funny thing is my youngest who dances was in a show recently on stage and guess what was one of their dances, yes you guessed it: Disco Inferno.  No, I did not embarrass her by joining, I gripped my chair to stay still!!!
If you had told me when I was 16 that it would still be around I might have believed you, but for my children to like it and dance on it, I would have laughed hard.

5. What song best represents your life right now?

I love praising and worshiping my Lord, worship songs are a big part of my life now, it would be hard to pick one but I guess this post here (click) is a good one.

Praise and Worship - Hillsong - Everyday

Everyday...

Jen at Following the Footsteps... has a brilliant concept of sharing favorite praise and worship songs.  When I saw this I loved it straight away, because this is how my blog started...

This is my first go at this link so here goes,  when I decided to blog I did not want to do it without My Lord in charge so I wanted something to reflect that.  The song above sung by Hillsongs is where I extracted my title:  I know the psalmist says:  Every day I'll walk with You, My Lord.
As I changed it, I wanted to emphasize that I am doing it daily, sometimes very badly and with blisters on my feet and bruised knees but at other times He actually carries me, I am so grateful ...

What to say, Lord? It's
You who gave me life and I
Can't explain just how
Much You mean to me now
That You have saved me, Lord
I give all that I am to You
That everyday I can
Be a light that shines Your name

Everyday, Lord, I'll
Learn to stand upon Your word
And I pray that I
That I might come to know You more
That You would guide me with every single step I take, that
Everyday I can
Be Your light unto the world

Everyday, it's You I live for
Everyday, I'll follow after You
Everyday, I'll walk with You, my Lord

Everyday, Lord, I'll
Learn to stand upon Your word
And I pray that I
That I might come to know You more
That You would guide me with every single step I take, that
Everyday I can
Be Your light unto the world

Everyday, it's You I live for
Everyday, I'll follow after You
Everyday, I'll walk with You, my Lord

It's You I live for, everyday
It's You I live for, everyday
It's You I live for, everyday
It's You I live for, everyday

Everyday, it's You I live for
Everyday, I'll follow after You
Everyday, I'll walk with You, my Lord

Everyday, it's You I live for
Everyday, I'll follow after You
Everyday, I'll walk with You, my Lord

Today is Monday with You.

Quiet, so quiet. Nobody is around just now and I have not had my house so quiet for ages. I have a ton of things to do, but here I am on my blog writing and gathering my thoughts, readying myself for the new school term, the new length of the day.

I was reminded looking at another blog of my personal challenge this year to do something new and so far, I can reflect and say that I have made progress

Even having the courage to show you this video of me making a complete fool of myself, but it is a treat just to hear my own family laughing and by the way I did find a refreshing brook to wash myself and carry on my walk, nobody expected that because the other Raymonde would have cried and had a tantrum!! So maybe I am growing old gracefully!
